Aluna Rum names new UK distributor

Cloudbreak Spirits-owned Aluna Rum has signed a distribution agreement with Brand Tap Brands, ending its partnership with Mangrove Global after eight years.

The new UK agreement will begin on 1 January.

Heather Graham, co-founder of Aluna Rum, said: “We have been privileged to have worked with Mangrove since launch in 2017. They have done a fantastic job helping us to seed and build the brand in the UK.

“We now have an enviable and extensive footprint, listed on menus from Michelin-starred restaurants to casual dining groups, cruise liners, premium independent bars, local pubs, hotels and beyond.

“However, as we plan the next stage of our growth in a rapidly changing market, we have recognised that we need to make some structural changes to our business.”

According to Graham, Brand Tap has been Aluna’s key partner since launch, supplying support with new product development, production and bottling as part of their contract bottling services.

She continued: “They will now extend their partnership to offer an end-to-end service, to include all production, bottling, storage, sales and logistics across the UK. The arrangement delivers significant opportunities and efficiencies on both sides while guaranteeing uninterrupted supply.”

Graham and Guy Ritchie launched Aluna Rum in 2017. The brand’s portfolio includes five expressions, including Coconut, Coffee, and Tropica.

Founded by Chris Sadler, Brand Tap is an independent, family-owned business with more than 150 years of brewing and distilling expertise. The company produces its own brands and also provides contract bottling services for many others.

Brand Tap’s new 40,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open outside Kidderminster in early 2026.

Currently, the company distributes a small portfolio of premium brands that focus on ethical production, including its own Wildjac range, Mother of Pearl Gin, Evangelista Liqueurs, and Marco Pierre White’s gin.

Aluna is exported and distributed by Charter Brands in 16 markets worldwide, with the latest launches in Poland and Romania.
