Martell owner Pernod Ricard has promoted Mauve Croizat to chief financial officer (CFO) from October as Hélène de Tissot steps down after 23 years at the French firm.

From 1 October, Croizat will become the French spirits group’s executive vice-president of finance and technology. From 24 August, she will assume the role of deputy CFO as Tissot hands over her responsibilities during a transition period.

During her 19-year career with Pernod Ricard, Croizat has held senior leadership positions across finance, business development, and general management in France, the US and Sweden.

Most recently, she led the deployment of Pernod’s global transformation programme, following successive leadership positions including vice-president of finance and administration at The Absolut Company and CEO of Pernod Ricard Sweden and Northern Europe.

After eight years as CFO, Tissot will leave the Absolut owner on 30 September to join French luxury brand Chanel in the same role.

During her time at Pernod, Tissot has held a number of senior leadership positions and played a key role in strengthening the company’s finance and technology arm, the firm said.

Alexandre Ricard, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, welcomed Croizat to the new role.

He said: “Her career path within Pernod Ricard is a testament to the breadth of talent we have across the group. Mauve is a proven strategic and operational leader with a track record of building highly successful teams.

“I would also like to warmly thank Hélène for her outstanding contribution to Pernod Ricard over the past 23 years and wish her every success in her new role.”

In April, merger talks between Pernod Ricard and US-based Brown-Forman ended after the spirits firms failed to reach mutually agreeable terms.

The French company recently returned to growth in its third quarter (January to March 2026) but sales in its two biggest markets, the US and China, declined. The group intends to report its full-year results on 27 August 2026.
