El Supremo rum lands in Italy
Paraguayan rum El Supremo has expanded its European presence to Italy by partnering with distributor Rinaldi 1957.

El Supremo makes its market debut in Italy with Rinaldi 1957, which will look after the brand’s introduction into bars, restaurants, and retailers.
The partnership is said to unite two companies that share ‘a passion for quality, craftsmanship, and challenging the status quo in the world of fine spirits’.
Filippo Maria Olivi di Briana, founder and CEO of El Supremo Rum, said: “Italy, with its rich history and appreciation for the finest things in life, is the perfect stage for El Supremo Rum. We’re not your typical sweet rum. We’re bold, complex, and unapologetically unique. We’re confident that Italian drinkers, known for their adventurous palates, will embrace our rum’s distinctive character.”
El Supremo rums are made with 100% natural sugarcane and aged in native brown incense and French oak on the island of Paraguay.
For its Italian market debut, the brand will be available nationwide in three variants: a five-year-old, an eight-year-old – offering notes of cocoa, caramel, and spice – and a 12-year-old, displaying wood-forward notes with vanilla, butterscotch, burnt honey, and a touch of milk chocolate.
The Paraguayan rum joins Rinaldi 1957’s portfolio of more than 130 Italian and international spirits and wine brands, with a focus on rum and whisky.
Last year, El Supremo partnered with distributors Alpom and Raimsa for its debut in Spain.
As part of its focus on the Spanish market, the brand hosted an exclusive event at the Kissing Room during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid.
