El Supremo Rum turns heads at Madrid Fashion Week
By Miona MadsenParaguayan rum brand El Supremo hosted an exclusive event at the Kissing Room during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid.

The Fashion Week in Madrid took place from 19-23 February 2025.
El Supremo Rum, the official sponsor of this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, transformed the event’s networking space, the Kissing Room, into the exclusive Supremo Lounge.
Guests were treated to cocktails, live musical performances, and an exploration of the shared values of haute couture and Paraguayan rum – ‘craftsmanship, innovation, and contemporary style.’
The celebration commenced with a private media event featuring El Supremo’s CEO and founder, Filippo María Olivi di Briana, alongside Ever Florentín, the first secretary of the Embassy of Paraguay, and designers Julio Reis and Gustavo Ardón, who collaborated with the brand on this edition.
The event showcased El Supremo’s vision of blending fashion and spirits, underscoring its commitment to the Spanish market and announcing ambitious expansion plans.
The plans include expanding the brand’s presence in Spain and beyond, and deepening its connection to high fashion, with upcoming collaborations on international runways.
Briana commented: “Fashion is more than just clothing – it’s an expression of identity, a commitment to excellence, and a tribute to artistry. El Supremo embodies these very values. Just as haute couture is crafted with precision and innovation, so is our rum, which is made from pure sugarcane juice and aged with meticulous care.
“Our presence at Madrid Fashion Week is a statement: El Supremo is not just a drink, but an experience – bold, sophisticated, and timeless.”
El Supremo aims to redefine luxury and culture on the global stage by blending tradition with innovation and bringing the essence of Paraguayan rum to the world’s most discerning audiences.
Briana added: “This collaboration is just the beginning. El Supremo is here to make a statement, not just in Spain but across Europe and beyond. As we expand our presence, we remain committed to innovation, premium craftsmanship, and redefining the rum experience at the highest level.”
Headquartered in Singapore, El Supremo Rum is made at the Cañas Paraguayas SA (CAPASA) distillery in Paraguay, which was established in 1909.
Last year, the brand unveiled its five-year-old expression.
