Licor 43 debuts Caramel Cookie liqueur

Zamora Company has introduced a caramelised biscuit flavour to its Licor 43 range, continuing the brand’s exploration of dessert-inspired liqueurs.

Following the launch of Licor 43 Chocolate in 2021 and Licor 43 Crème Brûlée in 2023, Licor 43 Caramel Cookie furthers the brand’s exploration of treats and dessert-inspired liqueurs.

The new limited edition liqueur combines the signature vanilla, citrus, and spiced notes of Licor 43 Original with the flavours of caramel, cinnamon, and caramelised biscuits, inspired by the classic speculoos biscuit.

Caramel Cookie is best served chilled over ice or as a base for dessert-style cocktails and coffee drinks.

Blanca de la Infiesta, spirits global marketing director of Zamora Company, said: “With indulgence becoming a key purchase driver in the liqueur category, our Caramel Cookie launch is a natural evolution for Licor 43.

“Its warm, spiced cookie profile perfectly complements our Mediterranean heritage and flavour versatility – just as our Chocolate and Crème Brûlée editions have done before.”

The new flavour was introduced in September in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium as Licor 43 Speculoos, and in Mexico as Licor 43 Caramel Cookie. A later rollout is planned for the US and Brazilian markets.

The limited edition is bottled at 16% ABV and has a recommended retail price of €22.99 (US$31).

According to IWSR 2024 data, the cream liqueur category continues to grow, increasing by 0.86% last year. This growth is driven by premium, flavour-led innovations.

The heritage of Spanish liqueur Licor 43 spans nearly 80 years and it became a million-case brand in 2023.

Last month, the brand teamed up with spirits importer Monika Alcobev to introduce Licor 43 to the Indian market.
