De la Infiesta, who also previously worked at Pernod Ricard for seven years, brings 25 years of experience in the drinks sector to her new role at Zamora.

She takes over the position from Julian Fernandez, who returned to Scottish spirits firm Edrington as managing director for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Through the new hire, Spanish group Zamora said it aims to continue building and strengthening its global strategy and activation of its spirits portfolio in order to achieve future goals.

De la Infiesta will report to Zamora Company CEO Javier Pijoan and join the executive committee.

“We are very satisfied with the incorporation of Blanca into the company because her professionalism, experience, passion and good work will bring a lot of value to the group,” said Pijoan.

After beginning her career at biopharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline in 1999, De la Infiesta joined Pernod Ricard UK in 2005.

During her time at Pernod Ricard, she managed several wine brands and rum-based liqueur Malibu for more than three years before moving to the French firm’s Scotch whisky arm, Chivas Brothers.

At Chivas Brothers, she worked on the Ballantine’s whisky brand and held various positions of responsibility in the areas of communications, innovation and global travel retail.

De la Infiesta then joined Bacardi for seven years, where she was in charge of Bombay Sapphire gin and Grey Goose vodka, before joining the global digital transformation team with responsibility for developing worldwide digital capabilities in the marketing and commercial teams.

“I face this new professional challenge at Zamora Company with great enthusiasm and excitement, ready to contribute the experience and knowledge acquired in my years in the profession, but also with the desire to continue growing and learning in one of the leading companies in its sector with a great team of professionals,” added De la Infiesta.
