Seven spirits brands join Spiribam France

The French arm of distributor Spiribam has added seven brands to its stable as part of its nationwide growth strategy.

Spiribam France already looks after brands such as Rhum Clément, Rhum JM, Maison Cartron, Chairman’s Reseerve and Arcane.

Previously, the French subsidiary of Spiribam has been focused on rum and liqueurs. Now, it has added four whiskies to the fold: Turntable from Scotland, Sailor’s Home from Ireland, Indri from India and The English Whisky from England.

Completing the new lineup is a trio of agave brands: Tequilas El Sueño and Siete Leguas, and Trascendente mezcal.

The latest move follows Spiribam’s investment in French vodka Le Philtre earlier this month. Spiribam is now the majority owner of the organic brand.

Speaking about the acquisition, Grégoire Gueden, CEO of Spiribam, said: “Welcoming Le Philtre Vodka into our portfolio is part of a broader strategic commitment to diversification.

“We are convinced that this distinctive, committed, and premium brand will find its rightful place within our ecosystem.

“We will mobilise our commercial strength, marketing expertise and international network to support its growth and visibility worldwide.”

Spiribam is the spirits arm of family-owned French firm Groupe Bernard Hayot (GBH).

In 2023, GBH agreed to buy UK-based spirits distributor Mangrove Global. GBH also owns French liqueur maker Joseph Cartron, which it acquired in 2021.
