Desi Daru partners with The May Fair for Holi
British-Indian vodka brand Desi Daru has teamed up with The May Fair Bar in London to offer a signature cocktail to mark the Holi festival.
Holi, the Hindu festival celebrating love, renewal, and the triumph of good over evil, is known for its ‘explosion of colours, laughter, and togetherness’.
The festival will take place this year on 14 March.
For the celebration, Desi Daru Vodka has partnered with The May Fair Bar at Radisson Collection Hotel in London’s Mayfair to offer a signature ‘Exuberance’ cocktail at a discounted price.
Mohit Singh, founder of Desi Daru, said: “Exuberance is an incredible cocktail that embodies the spirit of Holi and really showcases our Mango Vodka. The May Fair Bar have been great supporters, and we’re excited to work with them to celebrate Holi.”
The cocktail is made with Desi Daru Mango Vodka, mango, jaggery and a mix of aromatic Indian spices.
Exuberance can be enjoyed for just £10 (US$13) at the Mayfair-based bar from 13-15 March.
Pierpaolo Schirru, head mixologist for Edwardian Hotels, owner of The May Fair Bar, added: “We were really keen to celebrate Holi at May Fair Bar and collaborating with Desi Daru makes
perfect sense, especially as we wanted to create a cocktail that that bursts with flavour. Here, we’ve balanced the juicy sweetness of Alphonso Desi Daru Mango Vodka with the warming complexity of Indian spices and sweet jaggery. We can’t wait for our guests to try this cocktail at an unbeatable price.”
The cocktail will be paired with a specially curated snack to complement its rich, spiced, and fruity notes.
Earlier this year, Desi Daru partnered with Benares in London to offer the ‘Imperial’ cocktail, a fusion of British ingredients and Indian flavours.
Last month, the vodka brand appointed Amit Nakrani as its new strategic operations and technology partner.
Desi Daru Vodkas are available in the UK through retailers such as Master of Malt, Selfridges and Amathus Drinks.
