Nakrani has a strong IT background and is prepared to elevate Desi Daru with his expertise in scaling businesses, optimising operations, and driving strategic growth.

In the past, Nakrani has worked with ‘high-growth brands’ such as Black Sheep Coffee, where he is said to have played a key role in streamlining the brand’s IT operations, implementing technology-driven efficiencies and supporting its expansion into new markets.

In his new role at Desi Daru, Nakrani will focus on leveraging technology, enhancing operational efficiency and developing scalable business strategies to drive the brand’s growth.

Nakrani said: “From the first time I met with Mohit [co-founder of Desi Daru Vodka] and discovered Desi Daru, I felt an immediate, personal connection to the brand and their mission. So when the opportunity to join the team came about, it felt like a natural next step – one that aligns perfectly with my values as well as my expertise.

“I’m truly excited to help take the brand to the next level and drive its next growth phase.”

Desi Daru was recognised in a standout year with multiple industry accolades in 2024, including being named the Vodka Brand of the Year at The Spirits Business Awards.

In the on-trade UK home market, Desi Daru has recently gained listings with Master of Malt, Selfridges, and Amathus Drinks.

Mohit Singh, co-founder of Desi Daru Vodka, said: “We are at a pivotal stage of growth at Desi Daru. Amit has been an incredible supporter since our early days and has witnessed our progress first hand.

“We are delighted to welcome him officially to our team, where he will play an instrumental role in our journey as we scale our business and expand into new markets worldwide. His expertise and passion for our brand speak volumes, and I am excited to see the achievements he will bring to our company.”
