Desi Daru launches in Selfridges
By Miona MadsenBritish-Indian vodka brand Desi Daru has secured a listing with Selfridges department stores in the UK.

Desi Daru is an ultra-premium vodka brand that fuses Indian and British cultures. It was founded by British-born Indians Mohit Singh and Aneet Kaur.
The vodka is made with ‘the finest ingredients’, including Alphonso mangoes from Ratnagiri, India, and English winter wheat.
Singh said: “We are absolutely delighted to be entering into Selfridges. Selfridges is not just a store; it’s a landmark destination that celebrates innovation and luxury. Being listed here is a testament to all the hard work we have put into creating a top-quality product and building a brand that we are truly proud of.”
Desi Daru Original and Mango are available now at Selfridges stores across the UK and online for £44.99 (US$60) for a 700ml bottle.
Ciaran McNicholas, founder and CEO of Nightcap Brands, Desi Daru’s UK distributor, added: “Selfridges is known for its excellent spirit selection, only listing exceptional brands that offer something truly special to its customers. Desi Daru’s commitment to quality, using only the very best ingredients, makes it a perfect fit.”
Earlier this year, the brand secured a listing with Master of Malt and crowned the winner of its inaugural cocktail competition, Culture Colliders.
In July, Desi Daru announced it aims to raise £1 million (US$1.2m) to aid UK expansion and international distribution.
At The Spirits Business Awards 2024, Desi Daru is not only the official vodka pour of the awards, but it is also nominated in the Vodka Brand of The Year category.
