Scotch exhibition returns for Spirit of Speyside

A Scotch whisky exhibition created to celebrate the centenary of the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) is touring the country for the first time.

Peat cutters at work: The From Grain to Glass exhibition returns to Scotland this summer

The immersive exhibition, named From Grain to Glass, will take centre stage at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival featuring a range of artefacts and educational displays from a range of distilleries.

James Campbell, chairman of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, said: “It is fantastic that we will have this window into the life of Scotch whisky right here on our doorstep. To have such treasured artefacts in the area in time for the Festival is such a privilege.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to all of those that have helped make this possible, especially the SWA and distillery companies throughout Scotland.”

The exhibition will run at St. Giles Church in Elgin from 17 April to 5 May. On display will be a range of exhibitions, including a mini pot still, mash tun and spirit safe, as well as classic advertising campaigns and historical whisky recipes.

The From Grain to Glass exhibition first ran from November 2013 to January 2014 in Edinburgh, in celebration of the SWA’s centenary
