After launching its orange-flavoured gin in the market this May, Gin 1689 is now introducing miniature 50ml bottles of its Dutch Dry Gin, Dutch Pink Gin, and Dutch Orange Gin in the UK.

The gin is inspired by a 17th-century original recipe and seek to offer consumers a premium, accessible way to explore the brand’s flavour profiles.

Created for retail, gifting, hospitality, and travel-friendly formats, the Gin 1689 miniatures aim to provide versatility and strong commercial appeal to UK partners.

The launch of the mini bottles coincides with the brand’s expansion into one of Europe’s ‘most dynamic gin markets’.

“Launching our 50ml minis in the UK is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of,” said Patrick van der Peet, co-founder of Gin 1689, based in London.

“The UK has always been a key market for us, with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and heritage. These minis make it easier than ever for consumers to explore our full range – small in size, but full of character.”

The Gin 1689 miniatures can be purchased through selected distributors, retailers, and on-trade partners in the UK, including PR Dutch Drinks, Master of Malt, Spiritly, and Amazon.

The miniatures are already available at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.

Earlier this year, the brand secured a listing for its Dutch Orange Gin with Gall & Gall in its home country.

All three 1689 gins are also available at Eindhoven and The Hague airports.

Gin volumes increased by 1% globally last year, but most of Western Europe was in decline, alongside North America. Within Europe, the UK, Spain and Germany were down as France and Italy recovered.
