The campaign marks the first for 818 Tequila since it formed a ‘strategic partnership’ with Sazerac at the end of April.

The agreement saw the brand receive an undisclosed financial investment from the BuzzBallz owner, as well as enter into an exclusive distribution partnership in the US.

Titled ‘Best Summer Ever’, the campaign is centred around a US$8,180 sweepstakes giveaway through the summer months, which is designed to turn a dream summer for multiple fans into a reality ‘whether for a weekend getaway or a summer full of perfectly-made Margaritas’.

It also celebrates 818’s fifth anniversary, with Jenner first introducing the brand in February 2021.

Jenner said: “Best Summer Ever really captures the magic of 818 and the kind of experiences we want to create for our community.

“For us, summer has always been about the rituals; the golden hour Margarita or the spontaneous hangouts over Tequila cocktails that turn into the best nights.”

In addition to the sweepstakes, the brand will host ‘summer Friday’ giveaways across its social media channels. The giveaways will feature curated 818 cocktails and collaborations, alongside partner brands such as Dune Suncare, Hommey, FWRD and Ring Concierge.

The campaign will then culminate on National Tequila Day (24 July) with a celebration at the Surf Lodge in The Hamptons. The Tequila brand will host experiences and ‘community-driven’ events across the weekend.

Fans can find full sweepstake details on 818’s website.

“This Best Summer Ever campaign is a celebration of those perfect summer moments, made even better with an 818 cocktail in hand, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off this exciting new chapter for our brand,” added 818 chief marketing officer Kathleen Braine.

The 818 range includes four expressions: Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and the ultra-premium Eight Reserve.

The brand claims to have grown by double digits in the US since 2023. It has also expanded globally – to Australia, China, the UK and more since its launch.

In January, the brand filed a motion to dismiss a class action lawsuit that challenged the labelling of its products as ‘100% agave’.
