818 Tequila brings ultra-premium expression to UK

Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila has released its ultra-premium Eight Reserve expression in the UK.

Eight Reserve by 818 is now available in the UK

The expression is an extra añejo Tequila, comprising liquid that has been aged for one, three and eight years. The product positions itself as ‘one smoothest premium Tequilas on the market’. It was first launched in the US in September 2022.

David Yan Gozález, director of operations at 818 Tequila, said: “Our Eight Reserve Tequila Añejo is a blend that is as harmonious as it is unique.

“Aged in French and American barrels, the Tequila is a masterful añejo blend that is wonderfully rich and layered. We are proud to introduce this delicious product to the United Kingdom.’’

The Eight Reserve is said to have tasting notes of cooked agave, vanilla, cinnamon, dried berries and praline, with cooked nuts and orange peel on the nose.

The 750ml ceramic decanter Eight Reserve is presented in is handmade by local artisans in Pachuca, Mexico. The figure eight shape symbolises ‘infinite Tequila enjoyment’.

Kendall Jenner also commented: “The launch of Eight Reserve in the UK is a milestone moment for 818. We are constantly looking to innovate and with this liquid we built on what makes 818 Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo so beautiful and complex and took it to the next level.

“It’s been incredible to work alongside our team in Mexico to develop Eight Reserve, and I know it’s going to be beloved in the United Kingdom.”

The brand encourages drinkers to sip Eight Reserve on its own, either neat or on the rocks.

It retails for RRP £275 (US$221) and can be picked up through online retailers and at department stores such as Zapp, Harrods and Selfridges.

In March, 818 became a B Corp business, and since launching in the UK, the brand has seen its projected sales in the country rise by 150%.
