Daniel Szor resumes CEO role at Cotswolds Distillery

Parsons’ departure has been described as ‘amicable’ and is said to reflect both the current market environment and the evolution of the company as it moves into its next phase.
Maurice Doyle, Cotswolds’ chairman of the board of directors, confirmed to The Spirits Business: “Jeremy Parsons will step down from his role as chief executive officer of the Cotswolds Distillery at the end of January 2026.
“We thank Jeremy for his contribution and his commitment during his tenure as CEO. We wish him every success for the future.
“Daniel Szor will combine the role of founder and CEO going forward, supported by a talented leadership team. Our focus is on delivering the next phase of growth for the Cotswolds Distillery brand and business, both in the UK and in our priority international markets.”
Parsons joined Cotswolds Distillery in June 2022. Prior to taking up the role, he was chief operating officer of Beamish International, based in Edinburgh, which specialises in the sale of ultra-premium single cask whisky.
Doyle joined the company as chairman in November, bringing with him a wealth of experience, including two decades at Bacardi and five years at William Grant & Sons.
Most recently, he was CEO of Scotch whisky blender Compass Box.
Cotswolds also strengthened its commercial team in October with the appointment of Kerrin Egalka, formerly of Moët Hennessy, Nolet Gin and Compass Box, as the company’s commercial director.
In addition, Phillip Blundell, previously of KPMG, Bacardi, William Grant & Sons and Compass Box, joined the company as chief finance officer.
The company described its new senior lineup as a stronger and more experienced leadership team than Cotswolds has ever had, which in turn will make the brand more agile to respond favourably to current markets.
