Serum Mamie enters the Baltics

Panamanian rum brand Serum has partnered with distributor 3B Solutions to launch its Mamie expression in the Baltic market.

Darius Augaitis, director of 3B Solutions, will place ‘a strong focus’ on Serum Mamie in the Baltics. The infused rum is the brand’s best-selling expression.

He said: “We see huge potential in Serum Mamie. Its distinctive flavour profile, with notes of cocoa and toffee caramel, makes it a strong contender even against well-established and famous brands currently leading the market.”

The rum was inspired by a woman who ran Kelley’s Ritz, Panama City’s ‘most infamous’ bar in the 1920s. Known for breaking taboos and welcoming everyone from sailors to soldiers, she became a symbol of boldness and freedom.

Stepan Stanek, export manager of Serum Rum, stated: “We created Mamie as a tribute to a bold female icon from Panama’s roaring past – and it turned into a rum that people instantly connect with. It’s rich, smooth, and full of life – just like Mamie herself.”

The new partnership is part of the brand’s global expansion. Other expressions from the brand, including Ancon and Gorgas, are expected to follow in the subsequent phases of the Baltic rollout.

Serum rums are already available in more than 25 countries, including most of Europe and parts of North America, such as Canada.

Earlier this month, Serum’s sister brand, Mintis Gin, partnered with Henkell Freixenet Baltic to launch its products in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
