Mintis Gin, made at Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, Italy, has reportedly grown in sales by 123% yearly.

The gin’s ‘record sales’ were boosted by new listings with Austrian retailers Rewe and Billa Plus.

The brand also expanded its presence in Poland, securing listings with four retail chains, including Carrefour, Auchan, and Kaufland.

On the other hand, Serum Rum increased its international sales by 38%.

The rum brand’s success was said to be driven by the e-commerce sector and the HORECA (hotel, restaurant and café/catering) segment, particularly in Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria.

Stepan Stanek, co-founder of Mintis Gin and export manager of Rum Serum, commented: “We are very pleased that premium rums and gins with a compelling story and exceptional bottles continue to attract new customers.

“From our perspective, there is no crisis for premium and high-quality spirits. People may drink less, but they choose better.

“According to industry data, alcohol-free spirits do not pose a threat to the premium spirits segment, as is often mistakenly claimed. In fact, according to ISWR, they contribute to total sales by only a maximum of 1%.”

Mintis Gin and Serum Rum will showcase their ranges at stand C38 in Hall 7 at the upcoming ProWein Dusseldorf, held in Germany from March 16-18.
