Kavalan unveils 2025 gift sets
Taiwanese whisky producer Kavalan has launched its annual limited edition gift sets, which honour its homeland’s native beauty.
The 2025 collection features three of the distillery’s single malts: the Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask, Solist Vinho Barrique Single Cask Strength, and Concertmaster Vinho Barrique Cask Finish.
Each set includes the brand’s nosing glass with the packaging inspired by the theme of ‘blossom’, which is said to symbolise prosperity, happiness, and beauty.
Presented in a golden box decorated with ‘the king of flowers’, peony, and Taiwan blue magpie, Solist Vinho Barrique is aged in STR casks and offered at a cask strength of 50-59.9% ABV.
The Triple Sherry Cask’s red box features peach blossoms and a broad-tailed swallowtail butterfly. The expression is aged in a combination of oloroso, Pedro Ximénez (PX), and moscatel Sherry casks.
The last of the trio, Kavalan Concertmaster Vinho Barrique Finish in blue, celebrates resilience and vitality with a design that includes Formosan landlocked salmon and plum blossoms.
The exclusive sets are now available in Taiwan, Australia, Guam, Germany and Mexico.
Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County was established in 2005 and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Last year, The Spirits Business spoke with Kavalan CEO Y. T. Lee on the distillery’s journey to a globally celebrated premium whisky producer.
In December 2024, Kavalan launched a special edition whisky aged in Palo Cortado casks to commemorate the 45th anniversary of its parent company, King Car Group.
