Archive & Myth to host dry takeovers
By Lauren BowesLondon bar Archive & Myth has invited some of the UK’s best bars for takeovers this month, with the teams to spotlight alcohol-free cocktails.

Archive & Myth opened under the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square in summer last year, and was named a bar to watch in the Europe edition of the Global Bar Report.
For the series, titled High Spirits: Low ABV, the bar will host three events, welcoming a different bar team each Tuesday from 14 January.
The alcohol-free series is in collaboration with non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ brands Real Drinks, Everleaf, The Pathfinder and Seedlip.
First up is Manchester’s recently opened Ego Death, which was one of our hottest launches of autumn 2024.
This will be followed by Bench from Sheffield, with Edinburgh’s Hey Palu to close the series.
Alongside the takeovers, Archive & Myth will also reimagine its cocktail menu, creating a dedicated alcohol-free menu as a permanent fixture from this month.
The new menu follows a recent survey that found the UK hospitality sector is ‘behind the curve’ when it comes to delivering on the growing demand for alcohol-free options.
The on-trade usually dreads Dry January, but many are discovering it to be a blessing in disguise, with opportunities for those willing to adapt.
