Vinexposium confirms shortlists for V d’Or awards
By Melita KielyTrade show organiser Vinexposium has announced the shortlisted nominations for the second V d’Or awards.

V d’Or, Vinexposium’s Business Awards, took place for the first time in 2024 ahead of the opening day of the Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris trade fair.
Rodolphe Lameyse, Vinexposium CEO, said: “In only its second year, the competition received 95 entries from 22 countries, reflecting the international reach of Vinexposium’s initiatives. As for the shortlisted entries, they came from 12 different countries.”
The awards encompass four categories across wine and spirits: Best Sustainability, Best Digital Strategy, Best New Product Strategy, and Best Education & Knowledge Sharing.
Spirits-focused categories include Best Sustainability V d’Or – Spirits. The shortlisted trio are: A Clean Spirit from Denmark; Distillerie de la Seine from France; and The Boatyard Distillery from the UK.
In the Best Education & Knowledge Sharing V d’Or – Spirits category, the shortlisted entries are: Avallen’s Sustainable Guide to Bars from the Netherlands; The OurWhisky Foundation’s Mentorship Programme from the UK; and Campari Academy from Italy.
The winners will be announced during the V d’Or awards ceremony, which will take place on 9 February 2025 at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris, France.
Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris rebranded to ‘Wine Paris‘ earlier this year.
Wine Paris 2025 will take place from 10-12 February at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The 2024 iteration of the event hosted a record-breaking 4,000 exhibitors from 48 countries, with international exhibitors up by 53% compared with last year.
At a recent press briefing in London, Vinexposium CEO Lameyse and Miles Beale, chief executive of the Wine and Spirit Trade Association, discussed challenges facing the global alcohol industry.
