Dutch Barn expands range with flavoured vodkas
Yorkshire-based brand Dutch Barn Vodka, co-owned by Ricky Gervais, has launched a trio of flavoured vodkas.
The new flavour range, consisting of Black Cherry, Mediterranean Citrus, and Balinese Vanilla, is crafted by infusing natural flavours into the 70-times distilled Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka base, which is made from apples.
Produced at Ellers Farm Distillery, Dutch Barn Vodka undergoes distillation in small batches, which is said to ensure a high level of control over every stage and a smooth taste, free from artificial flavours and excess sugars.
The first of the new flavours, Black Cherry Vodka, is made with three types of cherries – sweet, sour, and red – and natural almond extract. At 38% ABV, the vodka displays flavours of Black Forest gâteau and cherry Bakewell tart.
Mediterranean Citrus Vodka, bottled at 40% ABV, is made with macerated lemons, limes and oranges. Described as ‘sweet and vibrant’, the expression benefitted from additional dried pomelos.
The last of the new flavours, Balinese Vanilla, is a made with Balinese vanilla extract. Offered at 38% ABV, the vodka displays vanilla flavour with butterscotch.
The new three flavours are now available from the brand’s website, directly from Ellers Farm Distillery and at the York Christmas market with a price of £32 (US$41) for a 700ml bottle.
Chris Fraser, chairman of Dutch Barn Vodka, said: “We strive to produce the best possible liquids in the most sustainable ways possible, and our new Dutch Barn flavours are no different.
“Dutch Barn has already established itself as one of the best vodkas on the planet, renowned for its smooth, clean, crisp taste. With our new flavours we have worked hard to produce what we think are in a different class to any other flavoured vodkas in the market.”
The brand has B Corp certification and is working on bringing the distillery’s carbon emissions to net zero.
At the 2024 Vodka Masters, Dutch Barn Vodka was awarded a Gold medal in the super-premium category.
Earlier this year, the vodka brand revealed a new visual identity and campaign as part of a multi-million-pound investment and signed an exclusive travel retail distribution deal with Free World Brands.
