The new partnership aims to expand the vodka brand’s presence in key global destination airports, cruise lines and other core travel retail channels.

Following Ricky Gervais‘ investment in November 2023, which saw the comedian become co-owner of Ellers Farm Distillery, Dutch Barn Vodka will be available for consumers to buy at duty free stores across the globe, marking the brand’s first step into travel retail.

The listing follows Gervais’ ‘urgent appeal’ on social media in December to encourage more retailers to get involved and stock his spirit, and several nationwide listings with major UK retailers.

Chris Fraser, founder and CEO of Dutch Barn Vodka, commented: “We are very proud of the reaction Dutch Barn Vodka is getting from global markets. As we continue to develop our distribution and offering, we want to tell our story to a much wider audience, and that includes all the duty free and travel retail channels.

“We are delighted to have partnered with Free World Brands to kickstart our travel retail journey.”

Based in North Yorkshire, Ellers Farm Distillery the launched B Corp-certified brand in 2022 to offer drinkers the ‘opportunity to rediscover vodka’. The vodka is handcrafted from British apples.

Sean McNaughten of Free World Brands said: “We are very proud to be partnering with Dutch Barn, Chris, Ricky and the team. The vodka has so much to offer, and really is a brand that we see flying in all parts of the duty free and travel retail world.

“We look forward to presenting Dutch Barn Vodka and the brand’s ambitious plans to the world of Duty Free, starting with the TFWA Duty Free & Travel Retail Global Summit in Cannes in the first week of October.”

Last month, the brand revealed a new visual identity and campaign as part of a multi-million-pound investment.
