Master of Malt Trade celebrates B2B win
By Miona MadsenDrinks wholesaler Master of Malt Trade won the Best B2B (business-to-business) Website of the Year prize at the 2024 eCommerce Awards.

Launched in 2007, the eCommerce Awards recognises excellence in the world of e-commerce across all industries by celebrating the most innovative and market-leading initiatives and products in the online retail space.
The 2024 eCommerce Awards was held on 18 September at Indigo at the O2, London.
This year, Master of Malt Trade’s dedication and creativity were recognised at the independently judged awards, which celebrate commitment, creativity, passion, and innovation.
This accolade comes after the wholesaler was exposed to challenges in recent years, with Brexit and Covid-19 taking their toll on everything from staffing to stock holding and cash flow.
In the past year, the UK-based company has reversed all alcohol duty increases on pricing for August 2023 in response to government reforms. They also launched the Master of Malt Trade Round Table Series to facilitate open dialogue and conversations between suppliers and the trade.
Additionally, Master of Malt Trade created a new way to recognise those who might otherwise get overlooked in hospitality – The Clubman Award.
The judges commented on the win: “Master of Malt is an exceptional website with lots of great features, benefitting from excellent content and organic value. They commended how people-centric the solution is, taking into account the diversity of the product, the value of offering to trade, and accessibility requirements.”
Master of Malt Trade stock and deliver a range of more than 15,500 spirits, plus liqueurs, vermouth, Sherry, bitters and Champagne.
At The Spirits Business Awards 2024, the company will sponsor the Bar of the Year prize.
Last month, AB InBev sold the parent company of Master of Malt back to its founder after six years.
