Bosque Gin targets Colombian on-trade
Argentinian brand Bosque Gin has launched in Colombia through a partnership with distributor Mosto Spirits.
The launch commenced with a cocktail presentation event on 24 July at Vista Corona in Bogotá.
The event was attended by local Bosque representatives Samuel Vivanco, Daniela Enciso, Eduardo Franco, and Richard Vallejos. Its aim was to introduce Bosque to the bespoke menus of various bars in Bogotá.
The brand’s plan in Colombia is said to have a strong focus on the on-trade market, which will see it first enter local hospitality groups and regional liquor stores. In the second phase, Bosque will be available in national retail chains such as Grupo Éxito.
The brand’s flagship expression, Bosque Nativo, is now available nationwide with a special launch offer through the Mosto Spirits online store. Alta Montaña, offered at 53% ABV, will soon accompany the launch, along with Refugios cask-rested gin line.
The move into Colombia marks the fifth entry for the brand into the Latin American spirits market.
The brand said joining Mosto Colombia’s catalogue represents a ‘significant competitive milestone’ which would solidify its local presence in the international contemporary gin category.
“Amidst Colombia’s dynamic spirits landscape, Bosque’s integration into Mosto Colombia positions them as a benchmark of excellence and diversity”, added Daniela Enciso, Mosto Colombia’s sales manager.
“This partnership underscores Mosto’s primary mission: to elevate diligent craftsmanship and offer unique experiences through its exclusive catalogue of high-quality spirits.”
Bosque currently exports to more than 20 countries, including the US, UK, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Poland, Brazil, France, Belgium, Denmark and Japan.
The brand received a Gold and a Silver award for its Nativo and Alta Montaña expressions in The Gin Masters 2024.
