On Monday 29 April, American brand Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be hosting a free masterclass, called Better Spirits Make Better Drinks, in London with The Spirits Business.

For every person who attends the masterclass, the vodka brand will donate £100 (US$127) to non-profit organisation Equal Measures, up to £5,000 (US$6,337).

Set to take place at Old Street Records Shoreditch from 3pm-5pm, the session will be led by Matt Brennan and Ashley Wardill from Tito’s, and Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business.

The session will briefly touch on Tito’s history and its Austin, Texas, roots. This will be followed by a tasting and cocktails. Drinks will be prepared and demonstrated by a mixologist from Equal Measures.

Tito’s is a corn-based vodka and is the biggest-selling vodka brand in the US. In October last year, data showed the vodka brand accounted for one-third of all spirits sales across Union bars and restaurants in the US in the 12 months ended 30 June 2023.

Equal Measures was founded to support marginalised and underrepresented people in the drinks and hospitality industries in the UK. It does this through education, mentorship, community and opportunities.

The masterclass is open to all drinks industry professionals, who can register their interest online.
