Whisky Exchange teases Black Friday whisky
Spirits retailer The Whisky Exchange will unveil its annual Black Friday Scotch whisky bottling tomorrow (23 November).
The company has released a mystery whisky every year since 2017, with the bottles often selling out within hours.
The whisky’s distillery and age statement will remain a secret until the bottles go on sale tomorrow morning at 6am GMT.
The brand has teased clues about the whisky on its social media platforms, including a photo of the mystery bottle alongside apples, pears and peaches. It has also revealed that this is the first time the distillery’s region has been featured in the Black Friday series.
The Whisky Exchange has also revealed that this year’s whisky is ‘classically elegant’, with ‘orchard fruit and blossom’ complemented by sweetness and spice.
Billy Abbott, brand ambassador at The Whisky Exchange, described it as “my kind of dram” and “an elegant and old-fashioned whisky of a style that we rarely see these days”.
The 700ml bottle will retail at £84.95 (US$107), and can be bought on The Whisky Exchange’s website or in its stores.
Last year’s release was a 16-year-old single malt from Islay, while the 2021 expression was a 22-year-old Speyside whisky.
