Becky G designs Patrón Tequila bottle

Bacardi-owned Patrón has teamed up with Becky G to create a limited edition Tequila bottle supporting a rainwater project in Mexico.

The collaboration is part of Patrón’s partnership with Isla Urbana, a Mexico-based non-profit that has installed 200 rainwater harvesting systems for households across Jalisco.

A custom bottle of Patrón’s Silver Tequila, designed by the American singer and actor, aims to bring attention to the initiative, which helps local communities manage and care for their water.

Jennifer White, co-founder and general director of Isla Urbana, said: “To have partners like Patrón and Becky G stand alongside us means so much. They’re using their voices and their platforms to bring attention to a cause that matters deeply and to help even more households across Jalisco gain access to reliable water.

“Every system we install is designed to last, giving households a reliable source of clean water they can depend on and pass down for years to come.”

The Rainwater Project Limited-Edition Patrón Silver has two parts. The first is a limited edition bottle designed by Becky G, who was inspired by the power of water for its blue and green tones. There are 350 bottles available for pre-order from the brand’s website from 24 July for US$60. Each comes with a custom cork and a scarf.

The second piece is a collectable tin featuring a design inspired by Becky G’s bottle, with waves of blue and green. Inside the tin is a standard bottle of Patrón Silver. It is available nationwide in the US for US$42.99 while supplies last, and will also be available in select Canadian markets in autumn.

Becky G, who has collaborated with the Bacardi-owned brand previously, said: “Jalisco has shaped both Patrón and me. It’s where Patrón is made and where all four of my abuelitos (grandparents) are from. Working together on our Rainwater Project Limited-Edition Silver gave us an opportunity to celebrate that connection while helping shine a light on something incredibly important.

“Clean water isn’t a given for everyone in Jalisco – for many households, it isn’t something that just flows from the tap, but something you carry, store, and ration.

“If you have a platform, you use it to lift others up, and I’m proud to do that alongside Patrón and Isla Urbana. I hope it inspires people to not take something as essential as water for granted.”

Patrón has also created a documentary starring Becky G that explores stories of households across Jalisco and the impact Isla Urbana’s rainwater harvesting systems have on their communities.

“At Patrón, we’ve always believed that how you make something matters – from the way we craft our Tequila with precision and care, to the partnerships we choose,” said the brand’s global senior vice-president, Roberto Ramirez-Laverde.

He added: “Becky G has been part of our familia for years, and she shares that same dedication to doing things the right way. Our Rainwater Project Limited-Edition Patrón Silver brings that shared ethos to life, celebrating where we both come from while giving back to the communities of Jalisco that continue to shape us.”

Patrón is the world’s fourth-biggest-selling Tequila according to data from the Brand Champions 2026 report.

Last year, the brand found itself in a dispute with Tequila’s regulatory body, the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT), over its additive-free marketing. Patrón launched a campaign titled Censored Truth to address transparency in the industry.
