Bacardí Rum names UK brand ambassador

Rum brand Bacardí has appointed Lewis Cooke as its new brand ambassador for the UK.

As a part of his new role with Bacardí, Cooke will share the story of the rum brand’s 160-year heritage, craft and portfolio of rums in the UK.

Cooke said: “I could not be more thrilled to join the team at Bacardí, a brand which I have always admired for its rich history, heritage, and passion. Personally, I’ve always been drawn to outstanding independent bars, so now working with Bacardí, an independent family-run company, it made perfect sense for me.

“I’ve always sought to elevate the drinking experience by providing the best hospitality possible. In my new role, I’m looking forward to working with the new generation of bartenders to share what I know, and give them the knowledge and tools to truly appreciate the beauty and versatility of Bacardí rums”.

Originally from Manchester, Cooke began his career in hospitality 12 years ago. He previously held positions at establishments including Melbourne bars Black Pearl and Byrdi, and has most recently served as bar manager at London-based bar Swift.

Last week, Bacardí expanded its Cask Finish range with a new expression finished in rye casks.
