Spanish drinks group Beveland Distillers has extended its Caracas Club collection of rums with two new flavoured variants.

Caracas Club is tapping into the trend for coffee-flavoured rums

Caracas Club is a line of Venezuelan rums that launched in 2020. The rum brand debuted with two expressions, Caracas Club 8 Years and Caracas Club Nectar.

The latest additions to the range are Caracas Club Coffee and Caracas Club Honey.

Caracas Club Coffee is made with Venezuelan coffee that has been cultivated ‘under shade’ in a bid to tackle deforestation in the country, Beveland Distillers said. The coffee, which comes from the Mérida state in the Andes mountains, is cultivated between 1,200 and 1,800 metres above sea level.

Meanwhile, Caracas Club Honey is made with local honey that primarily comes from the state of Monagas, and royal jelly.

The 40% ABV expressions are available in 700ml bottles and will soon launch in the US in a 750ml format.

In February last year, Beveland Distillers appointed distributor Aiko Importers to market its Caracas Club rum brand in the US.

Caracas Club is not the only rum brand in Beveland’s portfolio. The firm unveiled Cuban rum brand Doble 9 last year and released Indonesian brand Marama Origins in November 2020.

In August 2021, Beveland Distillers launched Marama Origins in the States through Stoller Imports.

Beveland Distillers also produces gin, brandy and liqueurs.
