Tŷ Nant forms nonprofit ahead of diversification

Welsh mineral water brand Tŷ Nant has created a nonprofit organisation to support its local community.

Tŷ Nant has provided bottled water to the fine dining sector for more than 30 years

The Tŷ Nant Foundation will be funded by the company’s profits, both general and from specific customers.

Customers will be able to advise on causes they’d like to support, and donations will be allocated accordingly by independent trustees.

The nonprofit was formed by the new owners of the mineral water brand, who purchased the firm in September 2020.

‘Incredible growth’

Under this new ownership, the bottled water company has reported ‘incredible growth’ over the past year. The business’ brands are now served in UK venues such as Harvey Nichols, Hakkasan, Nobu, Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat, Bob Bob Ricard, 51 Buckingham Gate, Mélia hotels, Tattu and Wagamama.

Tŷ Nant aims to be one of the most sustainable brands in the UK, with its own wind turbine at its 200-acre estate in Bethania, Wales. Its products are made using 100% ‘clean green’ energy, and the site has its own forest as part of the company’s rewilding project.

With a multi-million-pound investment from its new owners in the estate and its manufacturing facilities, the firm is now looking to become a ‘super-premium, diversified drinks group’ covering spirits, wine, adult soft drinks and more.

Earlier this year, Tŷ Nant offered its 100% recycled range in the UK off-trade for the first time.
