Easyfairs to debut Paris Packaging Week

Event organiser Easyfairs has revealed a new identity for its packaging fairs and a new show in Milan next year.

PLD Paris
PLD Paris will now take place in June 2022

Easyfairs is the organiser of 200 fairs including three packaging events: Packaging of Premium & Luxury Drinks (PLD), Aerosol & Dispensing Forum (ADF), and the Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design (PCD).

The three fairs are due to be held simultaneously on 29 and 30 June 2022 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, after being postponed from the original dates of 19 and 20 January 2022 due to the pandemic.

Easyfairs has now launched a new ‘colourful and vibrant’ design to strengthen the identity of the individual events.

Furthermore, the 2022 events in France will be rebranded to Paris Packaging Week.

With more than 600 exhibitors across the three events, Packaging Paris Week will feature three conference stages, a new gallery to showcase trends, guided tours, networking areas and parties.

The event organiser has also set up a new website using a ‘fresh and clean’ user interface at www.parispackagingweek.com.

Easyfairs said the new branding creates a ‘strong and coherent’ identity for its family of packaging events in London, Paris and Milan.

The new designs for each show have been created by London-based design agency Butterfly Cannon.

‘New chapter’

Renan Joel, divisional director for Easyfairs’ packaging events in the UK, France, Italy and Switzerland, said: “We are very excited to be opening this new chapter in how we connect the packaging community both in Paris and across Europe.

“Paris Packaging Week and the new identities for ADF, PCD and PLD will create a fresh new experience, both at the live events and across the year through our digital channels, to everyone involved in packaging innovation in the beauty, drinks and aerosol markets.

“Our community has told us that they want events that are more focused and the new branding will reinforce the focused environments that ADF, PCD and PLD offer for suppliers and specifiers to meet, do business and innovate together.

“We believe that the new identities will play a key role in creating even stronger local and international events for the packaging designers, developers and suppliers we serve.”

The organiser will debut a new edition of PCD in May 2022 in Milan. Furthermore, the company’s existing UK events have been rebranded as London Packaging Week.

In September 2022, the event will feature editions of PCD, PLD, Packaging Première and a new brand, Food & Consumer Pack, for the fast-moving consumers goods market.

Launched in 2020, PLD brings together the premium and luxury drinks packaging community, connecting buyers and designers of packaging for wine, spirits, beers, ciders and non-alcoholic drinks with around 150 leading suppliers.

The 2022 programme for PLD will feature more than 30 speakers from industry innovators, including representatives from Pernod Ricard’s Havana Club rum brand, The (Re)set Company, So Wine, Color Grail, ESI Reims and Planet Design Paris.
