The famous husband-and-wife duo have both ventured into the drinks category in recent years. Reynolds invested in Aviation in 2018, an Oregon-made gin acquired by Diageo last summer. Lively launched Betty Buzz, a range of low-calorie mixers for spirits, earlier this month.

Reynolds’ and Lively’s brands will be brought together on a cocktail menu for the first time, at the British Airways John F Kennedy International Airport Lounge in New York City, US.

Mark Murphy, British Airways’ Lounge operations manager said: “The Aviation Gin bar is the latest feature to our lounge, serving up some gin classics – we couldn’t think of a better mixer than the newly launched Betty Buzz.  This is a truly unique opportunity, we anticipate it will be a popular addition of our lounge.”

A bartender will be on hand to serve the concoctions. The Aviation Gin bar will be the exclusive launch partner for Betty Buzz in bars and restaurants.

Aviation Gin is described as ‘smooth’, with notes of juniper, citrus and floral.

Betty Buzz is a collection of mixers made with ‘real’ juice and ‘natural’ flavours, as well as free from artificial flavours, colours, or sweeteners.

Ian Pilarski, Betty Buzz vice-president of sales, added: “Launching Betty Buzz nationally in retail just a few short weeks ago, it’s tremendously exciting to introduce Betty Buzz in bars and restaurants for the first time.

“Being featured at the Aviation Gin bar in the British Airways JFK Lounge is the perfect partnership opportunity to show flyers how delicious and versatile Betty Buzz can be in their favourite cocktails.”

The Betty Buzz line comprises of five 266ml bottled mixers: Tonic Water, Sparking Grapefruit, Meyer Lemon Club Soda, Sparkling Lemon Lime, and Ginger Beer. The line contains between 30 to 70 calories, except for Meyer Lemon Club Soda, which is calorie-free.

Earlier this month, Aviation Gin was named an official sponsor of the National Football League (NFL) in the US.
