Last year, TFWA Cannes welcomed nearly 8,000 visitors, a record 7% increase.

The annual conference brings together global travel retail (GTR) professionals for a week focused on business, insights, connections, and strategic exchanges, serving as the primary global meeting point for brands, retailers, airports, airlines, cruise operators, and other industry stakeholders.

This year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2026 aims to provide a platform for industry leaders to explore innovative ideas and partnerships that will shape the sector’s future.

The theme for TFWA Cannes 2026 is ‘Shaping the World of Travel Retail.’ It explores current topics that are redefining the industry, including geopolitics, mobility, human behaviour, and consumer engagement.

Sarah Branquinho, president of TFWA, commented on this year’s event: “The travel retail industry has always demonstrated resilience and an extraordinary ability to adapt and evolve. As we look towards the future, it is more important than ever to understand the broader forces influencing our business and the changing needs of travellers.

“The 2026 World Exhibition & Conference has been designed to provide exactly that perspective, bringing together world-class thinkers to share knowledge and provide valuable insight for the decisions ahead.”

This year, the event kicks off on 28 September with the TFWA World Conference, to be held in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals. The programme is designed to explore the factors shaping the future of the industry.

A workshop programme will unite industry experts to explore trends, behaviours, and innovations in the sector. Sessions will cover market performance, travel demand, fashion, consumer expectations, and digital engagement.

Sessions will be hosted by world-renowned speakers such as journalist and presenter Stephen Sackur; author David McWilliams; Gilles Roucolle, managing director and head of industries at Oliver Wyman and author of Transformations in Mobility; and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Charles Duhigg.

More information about the workshops and the brands exhibiting will be provided soon.

Pre-registrations are now available on the TFWA website.

Earlier this year, TFWA Asia Pacific welcomed nearly 3,000 visitors in Singapore.
