Centenario Rum inks distribution deal with Halewood
Halewood Wines & Spirits has agreed to distribute Costa Rica’s Centenario Internacional Rum in the UK and Ireland.
Halewood Wines & Spirits will import Centenario’s seven-, nine- and 12-year-old expressions
The UK-based distributor will import Centenario’s seven-, nine- and 12-year-old expressions, as well its solera 25- and 30-year-old variants.
Stewart Hainsworth, group CEO at Halewood Wines & Spirits, said: “Our vision is to be the UK’s number one specialist in innovative and artisanal rums, just as we are beginning to showcase in the gin category, in order to focus on our strategy of building a premium artisanal portfolio that delivers true heritage, provenance and authenticity.”
Halewood hopes to use its national footprint to build the Costa Rican rum brand in the UK.
The UK-based distributor’s growing portfolio of premium rums already includes Rum Sixty Six and Peaky Blinder Black Spiced Rum, with Halewood recently acquiring spiced rum brand Dead Man’s Fingers.
It was recently announced that the Glasgow Distillery has signed a UK distribution deal with Halewood Wines & Spirits for its Makar gin and G52 Urban Craft Vodka brands.
