By Amy HopkinsAngus Dundee Distillers has launched a 15-year-old iteration of its peated Speyside Scotch whisky brand, Old Ballantruan.
Old Ballantruan Aged 15 Years is the oldest expression from the brandAvailable from this month, Old Ballantruan Aged 15 Years is the oldest expression in the brand’s portfolio – which also consists of a no-age-statement and 10-year-old whisky.
Duncan Baldwin, regional director for Angus Dundee, said: “Old Ballantruan Aged 15 Years comes in striking packaging. The individual carton reflects the colour of the natural peat burnt during the malt drying process.

Old Ballantruan is created at Angus Dundee’s Tomintoul Distillery. It is one of the few peated Speyside Scotch whisky brands and has a phenol content of 55ppm.
The new 15-year-old expression is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 50% abv, with an RRP of £69.00 (US$95.00). It will be available in western Europe, including the UK, and in selected Asian markets.
Last year, Angus Dundee Distillers launched its “first very mature blended grain” whisky – a 50-year-old expression.
