Seaberg retired as chairman of Kansas-based MGP in 2009. Prior to his role as chairman, Seaberg acted as president of the company for 26 years and was also CEO for 20 years.

During his career at MGP, which started in 1969, Seaberg led a number of progressive developments at the company, including several major expansion projects, facility and technological upgrades, product diversifications and an extensive internal restructuring process.

He “performed an integral role” in MGP’s IPO in 1988 and increased the firm’s premium distilled spirits capabilities.

Seaberg was a member of the Technical Committee of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Water Pollution Control Federation.

Headquartered in Atchison, Kansas, MGP Ingredients produces a range of vodkas, gins, whiskeys and other spirits for brands on a third party basis.

The company has recently increased its own in-house brand offering with the launch of Till American Wheat Vodka and acquisition of the George Remus Bourbon brand.
