MGP Ingredients releases own vodka brand
Leading third party US distiller MGP Ingredients has expanded its range of in-house spirits brands with the launch of Till American Wheat Vodka.
Till American Wheat Vodka has joined MGP’s range of in-house spirits brands
Distilled with Kansas wheat, the vodka is the latest spirits launch to celebrate the American heartland, following the release of Pernod Ricard’s new Smithworks “local” vodka earlier this month.
“Till Vodka is a brand that represents timeless and aspirational values, which are tied to the region that embodies them,” said MGP president and CEO Gus Griffin.
“Till captures the hard work and passion of the people involved in making it, and reflects the pride they take in doing their best.”
Till American Wheat Vodka will be sold in both 750ml and one-litre bottles, with distribution starting regionally in Kansas and Missouri.
Earlier this year, Indiana-based MGP released Metze’s Select, an Indiana straight Bourbon whiskey, marking its first in-house spirit launch in 23 years.
Speaking to The Spirits Business last year, Griffin said third party producers were “fundamental” to the future growth of the spirits industry since they offer “variation and innovation”.
