Johnnie Walker unveils festive art designs

Diageo has unveiled a series of limited edition bottle designs for its Johnnie Walker brand, created in collaboration between master blender Jim Beveridge and Polish artist Pawel Nolbert.

Johnnie Walker’s new limited editions convey the ‘art’ of blending

Launched to capture the festive gifting market, the colourful designs feature on special editions of Johnnie Walker Red Label and Johnnie Walker Platinum Label, as well as Black Label, Double Black Label, Green Label and Gold Label.

Nolbert used painting and digital processing to create the packs.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve visualised colours when I’m blending,” said Beveridge. “It helps me find a balance for all those distinctive Johnnie Walker notes. That’s why I loved working with Pawel so that he could introduce a world of colour to how we present our whiskies.”

Guy Escolme, global brand director for Johnnie Walker, said the packs provide “powerful” shelf stand-out for the brand.

The limited editions are being rolled out across 50 markets worldwide – including Europe, Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa –at an RRP of from US$25.00 for Red Label to US$110.00 for Platinum Label.

Also this month, Johnnie Walker released a four-bottle limited edition range inspired by the brand’s famous ‘Striding Man’ logo.
