Brendan Buckley has been promoted within Irish Distilers
Previously, Buckley acted as global innovation and category development director at Irish Distillers, the Irish whiskey arm of French drinks group Pernod Ricard.
Buckley joined Irish Distillers in 2001 and held a number of roles before becoming marketing director for the group’s domestic portfolio. He joined the international marketing team in 2008 and also assumed responsibility for innovation across the business.
Prior to joining Irish Distillers, Buckley was involved with two start-up ventures in Ireland and the US, both of which were related to the alcohol beverage industry.
In his new role, Buckley will have responsibility for the growth of Irish Distillers’ prestige whiskey range, which includes the Redbreast, Green Sport and Midleton Very Rare brands.
Earlier this month, Pernod Ricard appointed Anne Lange to its board of directors.
