By Amy HopkinsFrench drinks group Pernod Ricard has officially appointed Anne Lange to its board of directors this week.
Anne Lange has joined Pernod Ricard’s board of directors
Lange’s appointment was ratified by Pernod Ricard’s shareholders during a meeting yesterday, when a cash dividend of €1.88 per share for the 2015/16 financial year was set.
French national Lange has replaced Laurent Burelle as independent board director and member of Pernod’s strategic committee.
Pernod announced Burelle’s departure in July this year in order to comply with the provisions of the ‘Macron’ Law relating to the limited number of directorships of executive directors.
Between 2004 and 2014, Lange held a number of executive positions within the Internet Business Solution Group division of the technology conglomerate Cisco.
She is currently co-founder and CEO of Mentis, a company that develops applications and platforms in the field of connected objects and collaborates with groups on mobility solutions and management of urban spaces.
Pernod Ricard, maker of Ballantine’s and The Glenlivet Scotch brands, reported solid sales growth in 2015/16 despite continued “difficulties” in China and within its Scotch portfolio.
