Ole Smoky Moonshine expands executive team

Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine has announced two new executive team members will be joining the company as head of marketing and head of international sales.

Meg Bruno and Brian Johnson will act as head of marketing and head of international sales

Formerly of Purity Vodka, Meg Bruno has joined the Ole Smoky team as senior director of marketing, and will be responsible for the company’s brand management and marketing programmes – including a brand new 360 marketing campaign due to launch this week.

Bruno has also acted as the senior director of marketing for the Association of Volleyball Professionals, where she worked with clients such as Diageo, Anheuser-Busch, Hilton, Toyota, Crocs and McDonald’s.

She will be joined by Brian Johnson, who will be Ole Smokey’s international sales director.

Johnson began working with the brand 18 months ago due to a partnership with Cask Sweden AB, and has helped expand distribution into more than 20 new markets including Japan, China, South Korea, Germany, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand.

Bruno and Johnson will report to John Cochran, CEO of Ole Smoky Moonshine.

Cochran said: “We’re positioning Ole Smoky Moonshine for continued growth, launching a brand new 360 degree marketing campaign and expanding faster than ever, overseas.

“With the help of these strategic hires, we will position ourselves as the leading brand in the moonshine category, and we couldn’t be more excited.”

In 2014 Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine began distribution in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as US travel retail, following a partnership with distributor Monarq.
