Patron posted the most growth in the Tequila category last year
A lot of work has gone into educating consumers on 100% agave Tequila, and the effort has paid off for Patrón, which grew the most out of the three million case selling Tequilas in 2014.
“Overall, we can attribute much of our continued success to consumers’ increased understanding and appreciation for high-quality Tequila,” said Greg Cohen, VP corporate communications for Patrón. As a super-premium brand, it’s interesting to see standard and premium expressions either in decline, or unwilling to disclose their figures altogether.
Former Brand Champion Sauza saw slowing sales in 2014 while El Jimador dropped 4%.
