Liqueur Brand Champions 2015
By adminLIQUEUR BRAND CHAMPION 2015: DE KUYPER
Dutch liqueur brand De Kuyper was the only label to show marginal growth in 2014
Lubelska experienced a true fall from grace in 2014 after a three-year reign as our Liqueur Brand Champion. After witnessing a staggering 27% growth spurt in 2013, the brand suffered a hefty loss last year, declining 22%.
The only brand to offset the downward trend this year and claim the title was De Kuyper, which grew 1%. The brand claims it has managed to stay afloat thanks to demand in Asian markets, perhaps driven by the growing cocktail culture emerging in locations such as Hong Kong and Singapore, but also notes “the UK and Scandinavia have shown very positive development”. However, well-known names such as Baileys and Malibu failed to grow.
