Absolut vodka releases Texas-inspired bottle
By Amy HopkinsAbsolut has unveiled the eighth edition in its series of bottles inspired by different locations around the world – Absolut Texas.
Absolut Texas is the first US state to feature in the brand’s limited edition portfolio, which celebrates various places across the world
Created in collaboration with San-Antonio-based artist Cruz Ortiz, Absolut Texas is the brand’s first and only bottle in the collection to depict a US state.
The design of the bottle is described as “a modern take on classic Texas iconography”, while the flavour of the vodka is described as having a “warm and spicy character inspired by the flavours of south western cuisine”.
“From the unique flavour to the one-of-a-kind bottle design, Absolut Texas is our biggest and boldest limited edition flavor to-date,” said Afdhel Aziz, brand director for Absolut Vodka.
“Absolut Texas was truly designed as a celebration of all the best that contemporary Texas has to offer.”
The bottle’s design features Cruz’s version of the Texas Star, a “cosmic caballero” cowboy boot, and an image of Absolut founder Lars Olsson Smith wearing a cowboy hat.
Absolut Texas joins recently launched Absolut Berlin in the range, which also features bottles depicting Chicago, San Francisco, Moscow, Rio, London, Mexico, Istanbul, Miami, Brooklyn, Boston, Los Angeles, Vancouver and New Orleans.
This latest edition carries an RRP of US$19.99.
