Koch Mezcal lands in Hungary
Brand Venture has partnered with Jan-ker/Mr Alkohol to launch Koch Mezcal in Hungary.
Hungary is said to mark a ‘crucial’ next step in the brand’s expansion strategy, a decade on since it first launched in Europe.
Koch Mezcal launched in Hungary on 10 April through Jan-ker/Mr Alkohol, one of the country’s leading platforms for premium spirits sales, imports and wholesale distribution.
The deal is said to strengthen the Oaxacan mezcal brand’s presence in Europe, responding to the growing interest in authentic agave-based spirits across Central Europe.
The brand has previously launched in Sweden, Romania, and the Baltics.

The launch has been made possible by Brand Venture, which played a key role in connecting aligned partners and supporting Koch Mezcal’s continued growth in Europe.

Koch Mezcal is crafted in Oaxaca, Mexico, using traditional methods, including agave harvesting, earthen pit roasting, natural fermentation, and small-batch distillation.
Each bottle is said to embody the terroir, culture, and artisanal knowledge passed down through generations – values that resonate with today’s premium spirits consumers.
