Bruxo Mezcal names new UK distributor
Oaxacan mezcal brand Bruxo has appointed distributor Republic Drinks to lead its new growth phase in the UK market.
Republic Drinks will import, distribute, and market Bruxo X – an espadín and barril agave mezcal – throughout the UK, across retail and hospitality channels.
The exclusive partnership will strengthen Bruxo’s market presence and expand its reach, as UK consumers continue to show growing interest in premium and artisanal agave spirits.

Bruxo was established in 2010 by a group of friends from Mexico City.
The brand collaborates with mezcalero families from various villages in Oaxaca, including San Dionisio Ocotepec, Agua del Espino, and San Agustín Amatengo. Each expression of their mezcal reflects the unique character of its specific terroir and producer.
Republic Drinks was founded in 2024 by Charlie Graham, Sambrooke Spurrier and Charlotte Sawford. The company’s partner portfolio includes brands such as Defrente Tequila from Los Altos de Jalisco, Ramo de Rosas Oaxacan mezcal, Yucatán-sourced Alma Finca Orange Liqueur, and Nocheluna Sotol from the Chihuahua desert.
The partnership with Republic Drinks has been facilitated by Stockholm-based AliasSmith, Bruxo’s European distribution partner for more than 13 years.
