Woody Creek bolsters ops team
By Lauren BowesStephen Julander has become senior operations manager at Woody Creek Distillers in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley.

In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day operations, including distilling, leadership of production staff, and supply chain management.
He said: “I am thrilled and honoured to be a part of the Woody Creek team. Woody Creek is a premium distillery with a dedicated crew who thoughtfully craft exceptional spirits. This commitment to quality is rare, and I am excited about the future and the heights we can rise to.”
Colorado-born Julander began his distilling career at Laws Whiskey House in Denver in 2012. Most recently, he served as master distiller and production and operations manager at Sante Fe Spirits in New Mexico, where he is credited with increasing the distillery’s yields.
Woody Creek’s co-founder and CEO, Mary Scanlan, said: “We are delighted to have Stephen join the team. As we continue to grow as a business and increase yields, we are confident that his experience and leadership will prove to be invaluable assets.”
Prior to joining Sante Fe, Julander oversaw the build of Sabbatical Distillery’s solar-powered facility in California.
He also spearheaded the build of a new distillery for Brush Creek Distillery in Southern Wyoming.
Earlier this year, Woody Creek became the official partner of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild team.
