Kendall Jenner and Chris Stapleton team up for Tequila Day
818 Tequila founder Kendall Jenner has teamed up with Chris Stapleton’s Traveller Whiskey to reimagine a classic cocktail for National Tequila Day.

Jenner’s 818 Tequila is bringing back its ‘Shake Up the Classics’ campaign this year with a new twist to a classic whiskey cocktail.
For the campaign, she’s joined forces with American singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton, who created Traveller Whiskey in partnership with Kentucky distillery Buffalo Trace.
The pair have reimagined the Gold Rush cocktail in celebration of yesterday’s National Tequila Day (24 July), complete with a video tutorial.
The Calabasas Cowboy cocktail combines 818 Reposado Tequila and Traveller Whiskey with lemon juice and simple syrup, topped with a lemon wheel.
Jenner commented: “I’ve been a huge fan of Chris and his music for years now, so getting to team up for National Tequila Day was such an honour.
“We had the best time reimagining classic whiskey cocktails with 818 Tequila and Traveller Whiskey. The Calabasas Cowboy is a fun twist on a classic Gold Rush, and I hope everyone has as much fun making it at home as we did making it on set.”
Fans of the brands can enjoy the serve for a limited time at country-inspired Desert 5 Spot bars in Los Angeles and New York.
For those who prefer to mix their cocktails at home, the Calabasas Cowboy Cocktail Kit is now available for US orders at Vista Wine Spirits. The limited offer set includes both spirits, Viski glassware, a recipe card, and exclusive merch, retailing for US$69.99 plus tax.
