New Cognac Larsen editions mark anniversary
By Amy HopkinsCognac Larsen’s 90th anniversary celebrations have culminated with the launch of two limited edition expressions that pay homage to the brand’s history.
Cognac Larsen’s new limited editions mark the Cognac house’s 90th anniversaryThe first limited edition, Larsen 90th Anniversary Tribute to Jens Reidar, is inspired by the first eaux-de-vie distilled by Jens Reidar Larsen, the Norwegian founder of Cognac Larsen.
Created by Robert Andrieux, master blender at Cognac Larsen since 1991, the Cognac is contained in a satin-finished blue bottle reminiscent of the brand’s original design.
The second limited edition, The Drakkar Larsen Carafe, contains Larsen’s Fine Champagne Cognac and celebrates the brand’s Nordic origins.
The carafe is a “modern Scandi version” of Cognac Larsen’s famous Viking ship design, which first launched in 1952 and became a symbol of the house.
Larsen 90th Anniversary Tribute to Jens Reidar carries an RRP of €65, while The Drakkar Larsen Carafe is priced €200.
Cognac Larsen unveiled a new brand identity earlier this year, scrapping its key message as the ‘Cognac of the Vikings’.
