Diageo has promoted Vinod Rao to the role of group treasurer

Rao joined Diageo in 2013 in his current role, having spent 14 years with PepsiCo in a range of senior finance, business development and planning roles across Asia and the Middle East.

He will relocate to London to take on his new duties, which will begin February next year.
Kathryn Mikells, chief financial officer, Diageo said: “I would like to congratulate Vinod on his appointment as group treasurer and thank him for the impact he has had in his role as finance director, Diageo Asia Pacific.

“He leaves a strong pipeline of talent across Asia Pacific Finance, with a performance-focused team embracing the opportunities that productivity and shared services afford us. I look forward to working closely with Vinod in his new role as he relocates to London in early 2017.”

Rao’s successor has not yet been announced.
